Also another piece where although it was painted digitally, I avoided using almost any 'special features'. It was painted entirely on one layer, and I used no filters of any kind. Definitely difficult but very satisfying and good 'exercise'. I've also intentionally left it a bit rough to give it more of a natural feel.

Before computers, a classical painter or illustrator worked to create something smooth and clean with media that just...wasn't. Now computers can assist so much in achieving that, many times, without much skill from the artist, that digital art can lose any hint of it's creator.
